Los Lunas

The summer recreation program in Los Lunas will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursdays, during two sessions, June 5-29, and July 10-27.

Registration will held weekly, and the fee is $30. No refunds will be given for non attendance.

There are programs for 5-6 year olds, 7-8 year olds, 9-10 year olds and 11-12 year olds.

Lunch will be provided, and participants will enjoy both outdoor and indoor activities, and two field trips weekly.

Belen

The summer recreation in Belen will be held in two different sessions, June 12-June 30, and July 10-July 28, for children ages 4-12.

The cost is $150 per session per child. The program includes arts and crafts, outdoor fun, swimming, field trips and more.

To register, go to the Belen Community Center, 305 Eagle Lane, Belen, to complete the application and pay the registration fee.

Valencia County

The Meadow Lake Community Center will be open this summer, and will holding open recreation, allowing residents a place to work out on new gym equipment, play some pool, ping pong, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, and with dart board.

Outside the center, visitors can use the foot aiming net, batting cage with a soft toss machine, play corn hole, tether ball, horseshoes, basketball, and use the small playground.

There are also picnic tables with shade and barbecue grills. The county also plans to have small events during the summer, such as a paint night, movie night or tie dying shirts.
