Belen

Adelante Development Center recently received a donation of $6,000 from Wells Fargo.

The contribution included $3,000 from Wells Fargo Housing Foundation, in conjunction with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Albuquerque, and $3,000 in matching funds from Wells Fargo Bank in Belen. Mike Lowrimore, President of Wells Fargo Bank in Belen and Adelante Board Chairman, was instrumental in obtaining the matching funds to the housing grant.

The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation supports housing projects for under-served populations. The contribution will help fund Adelante’s newest community living residence in Belen.

The home provides people with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live, work, and interact with others in their community.

Adelante supports people with disabilities in discovering and implementing their goals in life. In addition to residential services, it provides employment and community service opportunities to more than 500 participants in Valencia, Sandoval and Bernalillo counties.
