Arnold Lueras, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 82 years old.
Arnold was born on June 27, 1940, in Bosque, N.M. As a teen, he attended Sacred Heart Cathedral High School in Gallup, where he met his soon-to-be wife, Priscilla. His first job was a shoe shine boy but, with hard work and determination, he quickly advanced and providing for his family always came first.
Arnold was also an avid hunter. Quemado, N.M., was a frequent destination to many of his hunts, where deer and even a bear were pursued.
Arnold is preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla; and two sons, Arnold Jr. and Darren.
He is survived by his daughter, Arleen; six grandchildren, Brandon, Andres, Emerald, Jason, Carlos and Alicia; and several great-grandchildren.
Arnold will forever be loved and missed by his family, friends and community. May he rest in peace.
Services for Arnold will be held Thursday, April 13, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m., with Rosary and Funeral Mass to follow.
