Bar III/Two Minute Warning set a new record for runs scored in a game when they beat the Wolf Pack 61-6 on Tuesday in Los Lunas Men’s Softball League action at Daniel Fernandez Park.

Bar III/TMW led 5-1 after the first inning but exploded for 34 runs in the second en route to breaking the old league record of 56 runs in a game set by the Royals some years ago.

Bar III/TMW’s awesome offense pounded out 18 home runs, 18 doubles and three triples in the game that lasted just three innings.

Los Angles Dodger Shawn Green, who hit four home runs and knocked in seven runs in a Major League Baseball game on Thursday, has nothing on Marcus Miller. Miller led Bar III/TMW with five home runs and 13 RBIs while going 8 for 8 at the plate.

Shawn Ammons socked four homers and drove in eight runs. Ramon Barela also had eight RBIs.

Miller tied a league record for home runs in a game shared by six other players. His 13 RBIs also tied a single-game record.

Earlier this season, Zack Stephenson of the Crushers also hit five home runs and collected 13 RBI in a game.

The win improved Bar III/TMW’s record to 6-0. The defending league champions, that lost just one game last season, lead the American Division by one game over the Socorro Magic after this week’s action.

The National Division celler-dwelling Wolf Pack dropped to 0-5.

The Bar III/TMW-Wolf Pack game wasn’t the only high-scoring game of the week, or even the night. Following that slugfest, the Diamondbacks and Aztec LP also combined to score more than 60 runs. The Diamondbacks won 34-27.

On Wednesday, the Rebels prevailed over D&H Underground 27-26.
