Shortly after the new year, candidates for the village of Bosque Farms municipal election can file their paperwork.

The March 3, 2020, election will be for the mayor’s seat, currently held by Wayne Ake; two council positions, currently held by Ronita Wood and Chad Wood; and the municipal judge’s position, currently held by Dolly Wallace.

All four seats are four-year terms.

Candidates can file from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the village clerk’s office, 1455 W. Bosque Loop.

Write-in candidates can file from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the clerk’s office. Write-in candidates must file to run but their names won’t appear on the ballot.

Candidates can withdraw from a race on the same day as write-in candidates file.

If you aren’t registered to vote and want to cast a ballot in the Bosque Farms municipal election, you must be registered by 5 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4.

You can register to vote at the Valencia County Clerk’s Office, 444 Luna Ave., Los Lunas.
