Vicky Castillo and Max Erickson were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony on Sept. 15 in Colorado.

The bride is the daughter of Dylia Castillo of Belen and the late Ralph Castillo Sr. The groom is the son of Lester and Doris Erickson of Cumberland, Wis.

The Rev. Paul Landstrom officiated at the wedding, John Westin played guitar and Kathlyn Zimmerman played harp.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Ralph Castillo Jr., wore a gown with a sleeveless bodice set with lace and sequins, featuring a long train trimmed with platinum-colored ribbons. She wore a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies and white roses.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with a silver-gray vest and tie.

Kirsten Bilzing of Colorado was the maid of honor and Scott Menkes of Utah was the best man.

Sue Wear of Colorado was the bridesmaid and Randy Strictland of Wisconsin was the groomsman.

The women of the wedding party wore wine-colored satin gowns and carried stargazer lilies. The men wore tuxedos.

Allie Strictland, the groom’s niece, was the flower girl.

The bride is a 1973 graduate of Belen High School who earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of New Mexico and a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Colorado. She teaches consumer and family studies.

The groom is employed as a pilot for United Parcel Service.

After a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Colorado.
