AnaLisa Michelle Cordova became the bride of Samuel David Hawkins in a double-ring garden wedding on June 7 at the Cordova’s residence in Veguita.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Roselyn Cordova of Veguita, and the groom is the son of David and Sandra Hawkins of Fruitland, N.M.

Bishop Thomas Justice officiated at the wedding, while Andrea Justice provided the music.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride, clad in a full-length satin gown with embroidered bodice, carried a bouquet of a dozen fresh red roses.

The groom wore a black tux and red tie. The couple were adorned with fresh-flower red leis.

The flower girl was the bride’s niece, Makayla Cordova. The ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, Mateo Justice.

A reception was held at the Cordova’s residence.

The couple met at school, while pursing the same major.

The bride is a May 2002 graduate of New Mexico Tech, in chemical engineering, and will attend the University of New Mexico graduate school in the fall.

The groom is also a May 2002 graduate of New Mexico Tech, in chemical engineering. He will also attend graduate school at the University of New Mexico in the fall.

The couple will reside in Albuquerque.
