A quorum of the Belen governing body and Valencia County Commission may be present at the Valencia County flood control meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to advance conversations about flooding in all areas of Valencia County. MRGCD will review the history of flooding in Valencia County and how to move forward in the future. Other areas to be discussed is options of a flood authority verses a flood commission, a regional storm water master plan, and the socio-economic analyses that would develop a funding plan.
