Domitilia “Domi” Nazaria Gabbart

Domitilia “Domi” Nazaria Gabbart, age 80, resident of Belen, was called home to her Lord on Monday, July 4, 2022, surrounded by fireworks. When she took her last breath, Domi was surrounded by her family.

She was born to Prospero and Florela Vallejos at home in Sabinal, N.M. Domi was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, and a catechist for many years. She owned and operated Nuestra Senora Religious Store in Belen for many years.

Domi was a pillar of her community and her family. She was a proud godmother to many which brought her so much joy. Domi was also known as “mom” to all her children’s friends and loved them as her own.

Domi was met in heaven by her father, Prospero; husbands, William “Bill” Arnold Gabbart and Tony Baldonado; maternal grandparents, Miquela and Tomás Gutierrez; and best friend, Jenny Trammell.

She leaves behind two loving children, Michael “Mike” Gabbart and Avelina “Abby” Baldonado; grandchild, Dominique; and granddog, Leeloo.

She is also survived by her mother, Florela Vallejos; sisters, Lina (Bill) Tomaseck, Cecilia Vallejos, Erma Gabaldon, Rose (Leon) Earle, Vangie (Herman) Gabaldon, Sally Trujillo and Karen (Martin) Martinez; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins; best friends, Dolores, Betty, Mary, Dorothy, Sister Anne and Sister Dee.

All services took place on Wednesday, July 13.
