1957-2022

It is with great sadness that the family and friends of Duane Steven Gurule announces his passing of a long term illness on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, at the age of 65 years.

Duane recently retired from Albertsons, in Los Lunas, where he worked as a front-end manager for many years. He always went the extra mile for his customers, and his devotion to his team members never wavered.

Duane enjoyed walking and spending his time watching sports and the news.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Clara; brothers, Donald, Freddy and Dean; and sister, Melody Ann.

Duane is survived by his son, Stephen; his two grandchildren; his adoptive father, Jack Eltzroth; brothers, David, Gary, Dale and Delbert; and sisters, Deborah, Melody and Denise.

Please join us for a mass in celebration of the life of Duane Steven Gurule at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 31, at the San Clemente Catholic Church, 244 Luna Ave., Los Lunas, followed by a reception at 86 Vegas Road, Los Lunas.
