Dylan Keith Arroyo
1993-2023
Dylan Keith Arroyo was born on July 20, 1993, in Burlington, Wisc., and passed away on June 29, 2023, in Belen. He was 29 years old.
Dylan graduated from Miyamura High School in Gallup in 2011. He joined the United States Marine Corps and served from 2011 to 2016, earning many decoration and medals, including a National Defense Medal and a Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.
Dylan loved martial arts and earned a black belt. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his family, fiancé and his babies. He is loved and will be missed.
He is survived by his fiancé, Rebecca Arscott; children, Koa Keith Arroyo, Malachi Arscott and Isabella Arscott; mother, Tammy Houghtaling; sisters, Taylor Houghtaling and TJ Houghtaling; brothers, Clifford King and Leo Mann; maternal grandparents, Pam Lentz; grandfather, Keith Rechlicz; and aunt, Krystal Rechlicz.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Keith and Beverly Houghtaling; aunt, Gina Houghtaling; grandfather, Mark Lentz; and brother-in-law, Anthony Reece.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, July 7, at the Gallup Church of Christ. Military honors will follow the services at the Church.
Honorary pallbearers will include his Comanche Red Platoon, Keith Docs, Michael Colon, Clifford King, Leo Mann, Isaiah Reece, Joshua Reece and many other brothers and sisters.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
