Everett “Goose” Gaussoin

On July 29, 2022, Everett “Goose” Gaussoin left this world to go engineer the big train in the sky.

His first stop will be to pick up the love of his life, Charlotte, who is waiting with their son, Gene, and his brother, Terrell, who passed before him.

Goose was born on August 5, 1935 in Las Vegas, N.M., to Clarence and Elwayne Gaussoin. He married Charlotte in 1955.

Goose worked 43 years for the Santa Fe Railroad. He spent some time delivering propane in Silver City.

Goose and Charlotte spent some wonderful years managing Camp Thunderbird in Mimbres. He was an avid HAM radio operator. K5EMH is now a silent key.

He left behind his son, Clarence (Carol); daughters, Teniece and Nancy (Gene); and son, Gerald (Jodi) and his grandchildren, Samuel, John, Nicki (Dustin), Samantha (Juan), Jennifer (Will), Amy and Kaylyn. He also left 11 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

At Goose’s request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, you can make donations in his name to the American Heart Association.

Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, 418 W. Reinken Ave., 505-864-4448, where an online guest register is available at noblin.com.
