This year’s pottery show, Fifty Shades of Blue, at Tomé Art Gallery is one that everyone can love.
There’s nothing like the color blue: cobalt blue, ice blue, robin’s egg, Delft, speckled blue, castile blue, light blue, dark blue, azure, indigo, Carribean blue — well you get the idea.
The gallery potters made pots in colors of blue that you won’t be able to resist. They have always known that blue is far and away their customers’ favorite color. So they’ll make it easy and showcase all blue pots in the infinite variety that blue encompasses.
Blue can be that quiet and peaceful color that reminds you of the sky, the ocean, the color of your first love’s eyes. It can be electric and sparkling like Van Gogh’s “Starry Night.” The artists at Tomé Art Gallery guarantee you will find something that will suit whatever your blue mood may be, and bring you many moments of pleasure all year long.
To spice things up, sax player, Tome Walpole, will be on hand at the reception to play the blues.
The Fifty Shades of Blue art exhibit will be held from Aug. 4-25 at Tomé Art Gallery, 2930, N.M. 47. The artist reception will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 4.
