Florentino Aragon

Florentino Aragon, age 92, of Belen, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at Anna Kaseman Hospital with his devoted family by his side.

Our dad, “Tino,” was the most generous, kind soul who always gave more and never asked you for anything in return. He loved all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially, Noah, the apple of his eye. The two were inseparable.

Tino was a career railroader with 37 years of faithful service. He had a passion for music, playing in various bands as a drummer for over 60 years.

Tino was preceded in death by his parents, Francisca and Placido Aragon; sons, Mark, Ray and Terrance; daughter, Pearl; brothers, Jose and Phil; and sister, Ermilina.

He is survived by his sons, Chris, of Moriarty, Floyd and wife, Sally, of Rio Communities, George and wife, Monica, of El Cerro; brothers, Leo, of Alexandria, La., and Pat and wife, Theresa, of Albuquerque; sisters, Lucille and husband, Orlando, of Albuquerque, Ida, of Riverside, Calif., and Connie, of Lancaster, Calif. Tino is also survived by many loving grandchildren.

Services for Tino will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Tuesday, Dec. 13. A public visitation will begin at 9 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 10 a.m., and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, 418 W. Reinken Ave., 505-864-4448, where an online guest register is available at noblin.com.
