From Aug. 12-16, the Rio Metro Regional Transit District is offering free rides on all fixed and commuter route buses in Valencia County.

With service in Belen, Los Lunas, Peralta and Bosque Farms, as well as routes to The UNM-Valencia campus and into Downtown Albuquerque, Rio Metro buses can get you to school, work, appointments, shopping and more!

Free rides will be available on these Rio Metro Bus Routes:

• Route 206 – Belen

• Route 208 – Belen, Los Lunas, Pueblo of Isleta, downtown Albuquerque

• Route 209 – The UNM-Valencia campus

• Route 210 – Los Lunas, Peralta, Bosque Farms

Things To Do

Route 206: With stops in Belen, including several along Mesa Road and Reinken Avenue, this bus takes passengers from area neighborhoods and apartment complexes to the Belen Rail Runner Station in the mornings and back home in the evenings.

Route 208: This bus provides three northbound and three southbound trips morning/midday between Valencia County, the Pueblo of Isleta, and Downtown Albuquerque when the Rail Runner does not operate. This is a great option for people traveling to Albuquerque for work, doctors’ appointments and more. Passengers can also connect to Route 209, which takes passengers to the UNM-Valencia Campus, as well Route 210, providing access to businesses, schools and government offices in the Los Lunas area.

Route 209: This bus takes passengers between the Los Lunas Transportation Center and the UNM-Valencia Campus. The Route 209 connects with Routes 208 and 210, providing university students and staff with a variety of transit options to get to campus.

Route 210: With service along N.M. 6 and N.M 47 in Valencia County, this route provides access to several businesses, schools, government offices, and recreational areas in the region. Travel between Los Lunas, Peralta and Bosque Farms, or take a bus connection into Albuquerque, Belen or the Pueblo of Isleta. Route 210 also provides a connection to the Los Lunas Rail Runner Station.
