Belen

The city of Belen Recreation Department is inviting businesses to decorate their storefronts for its 34th annual Miracle on Main Street parade and Becker Avenue Christmas Light Festival.

The theme this year is “Christmas Movies.” Choose your favorite childhood or new Christmas movie and help spread the Christmas cheer.

The Miracle on Main Street parade will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 27, and the Christmas Light Festival will be held from 5-8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Dec. 17-18. The festival on Dec. 18 will be an all-day event, with the Belen Police Department holding its Toys for Tots drive at noon in the Heart of Belen gazebo.

The city is asking businesses on Becker Avenue to participate with some sort of Christmas activity between 12-4 p.m.

For information about the events and how you can participate, call the Belen Community Center at 505-966-2700.
