Bosque Farms Administrator Julie Harding did some soul-searching and decided to stay on the job.
“I have so much support from residents, employees and people from other municipalities, it made me believe I was doing the job they wanted me to do,” Harding said Monday.
Some members of the village council tabled the appointments of three top administrators at its last meeting, saying they wanted more information on the people applying.
At a special meeting called by Mayor Roger Baldwin last week, the village council hired the two other top officials — Julie Olona and Louie Burkhard.
But because Harding had submitted her resignation letter, councilors discussed whether to rehire her. After a vote of four to one, councilors voted to rehire her, but she said she needed time to discuss it with her family before agreeing to rescind her resignation letter.
“I think if the councilors stick to the legislative part of the municipality and let the adminstrative matters fall on the shoulders of myself and the mayor, this municipality will run smoothly,” Harding said.
