Hedy E. Lopez

Hedy E. Lopez

1963-2022

Hedy E. Lopez, age 58, was a longtime resident of Los Lunas and Belen, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, April 30, 2022, after a long battle with liver disease.

Hedy was kind-hearted, with a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandkids and two very special great nephews. When she wasn’t with her family, you could find her at the casino.

She was a die-hard Cowboys fan and would let you know it every chance she had. Hedy worked at the Los Lunas Hospital and Training school for many years, then became a Los Lunas Schools bus driver until she got too sick; she couldn’t drive the bus anymore.

Hedy was preceded in death by her father, Emilio Artiaga; and grandparents, Ramon and Anita Lopez and Josie and Gillie Artiaga.

She was survived by her three children, Stephanie (Esgar), Jerry, and Jennifer (Joseph); mother, Faviola Lopez; siblings, Gilbert Lopez (Josette), Rachael Castillo (Jose), Patrick Archibeque and Donna Saavedra (Albert); and 10 grandchildren. Hedy also had many nephews, nieces, cousins and an enormous extended family. She had many friends she was loyal to and cared very deeply for.

Hedy would give you the shirt off her back if she needed to. Her family is truly going to miss her presence.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 13, at Calvary Chapel New Harvest, 701 Main St. NE A, Los Lunas. Burial to follow at San Clemente Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were trusted to Noblin Funeral Service, Los Lunas, 2211-D Main St. SE, Los Lunas, 505-866-9992.
