James “Jimmy” Dean Trujillo

James “Jimmy” Dean Trujillo, age 63, a resident of Albuquerque, and formerly of Los Lunas, born in 1959, beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 14, 2023.

Services will take place on Wednesday, May 31, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Albuquerque, beginning with a visitation at 10 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 11 a.m., and a Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m.

He retired from REDW, LLC, after 39 years. Jimmy was a CPA on the board of directors, and lead of the tax department.

He served in leadership in many organizations, including NM Society of CPAs, Delta Dental, NM Amigos, Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce, Robert O. Anderson Foundation, UNM Alumni Association, Leadership NM, NAIOP and UNM Lobo Club.

Jimmy’s love for barbecuing, Blue’s music, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Pirates and local breweries brought so many friends together. The greatest joy in his life was his family.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Annette Tixier Trujillo; sons, Mario James and Max Carlos Trujillo; mother, Gloria Tabet Trujillo; brothers, Kenny (Ana), Michael (Emily), John, Dino and Bobby Trujillo (Kerry); sisters, Lorraine Trujillo Martinez and Adrienne Trujillo; uncle, Richie Tabet; aunts, Sue Tabet and Dolores Schiess; loving in-laws, Mariano and Henrietta Tixier; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Tixier and Bernadette French; many nephews and nieces and, of course, his beloved dogs, Jack and Phoebe.

He is preceded in death by his father, Nino Trujillo; nephew, Joe Kenneth Trujillo; paternal grandparents, Horacio and Amada Sedillo Trujillo; and maternal grandparents, Joe and Lily Baca Tabet.

Pallbearers will be Mike Chelius, Fred Cisneros, Bob Gustin, Robert Guy, Governor Stuart Paisano and Ron Rivera.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mayo Clinic Hospital, 5777 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, Ariz., 85054, or to UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center, 1201 Camino de Salud, NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87102.
