1964-2023

Jeffrey “Jeff” Eckroth, 58, of Los Lunas, passed away Feb. 17, 2023.

He was born and grew up in Pennsylvania but relocated to New Mexico with his family in the early 1980s. Jeff became a machinist and retired from General Electric in 2005.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Eckroth.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Shana Eckroth; stepson, John Smartt; and father, Marcus Eckroth, all of Los Lunas; his sister, Gail Garcia and niece, Lisa Garcia, both of Rio Rancho; niece, Brittany Bigley and great niece, Madeline Bigley; both of Albuquerque; mother-in-law, Stella Batschelet, of Los Lunas; sisters-in-law, Kathy Lopez, of Jarales, Jackie Perry, of Jacksonville, N.C., Barbara Villa, of Farmington, Debby Cantrell, of Santa Fe, and Annette Salas, of Rio Rancho; brothers-in-law, Kelly Heth, of Bloomfield, N.M., Anthony Cantrell and Sean Cantrell, both of Los Lunas. Jeff is also survived by his precious dogs, Lucky, Jack and Emma.

Services for Jeff will be held 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 4, at Christian Fellowship Church, 628 Los Lentes Road, NE, Los Lunas. Potluck reception to follow.
