Johnny Rumigio Gonzales

Johnny Rumigio Gonzales, age 83, a resident of Bosque Farms, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Las Vegas, N.M., to his parents, Luciano Gonzales and Gavian Lovato Gonzales.

He was a driven professional with an unmatched work ethic. Johnny retired from JW Jones Construction as a project superintendent, where, over the years, the company built bridges around New Mexico.

He was a lifelong Catholic with unfailing faith. Johnny enjoyed working on his yard while listening to 89.1 KANW New Mexico music. He enjoyed going fishing at Monastery Lake.

While he left us to soon, his impact on his family and friends will not be forgotten.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, and son, Patrick Gonzales.

He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa A. Aragon Gonzales; son, Kenny Gonzales Sr. and wife, Linda, of Albuquerque; daughters, Kimberly Chavez and husband, Bobby, Tanya Ortega and husband, Arsenio, and Monica Valenzuela, all of Socorro, and Jeanette Griego and husband, Kenny, of Hobbs, N.M.; niece, Judy Anaya and husband, Andrew, of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Kenny Gonzales Jr. and wife, Latisha, Amanda Routven, Josiah, Emily and Joshua Savedra, Juliana and Bobby Chavez Jr., Alex Padilla, Andrew, Amy and Aubree Ortega, Beau and Alex Gonzales, and Paul Dickens and wife, Camilla; and great-grandchildren, Lailah, Zoey, Kenny III, Maribella, Mattison, Jaylen and Omari.

There will be no funeral or memorial service at Johnny’s request. Interment will be private for immediate family at a later date. However, we ask that friends and loved ones please keep Johnny’s family in your thoughts and prayers.
