NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a meeting of the Valencia County Board of Commissioners on July 21, 2021 at 5:00 PM a public hearing will be held on imposing a Cannabis Growers Licensing Ordinance. The purpose of the proposed Ordinance is to establish rules regulating the licensing of growers producing cannabis in Valencia County to support and sustain the growth of cannabis in the County as an essential agricultural product. The Ordinance will prohibit the use of non-feminized cannabis seeds and plants and impose criminal and civil penalties for its violation. The Ordinance will also regulate the location of cannabis establishments in the unincorporated areas of the County. The Board of County Commissioners may vote to adopt the Ordinance at the meeting following the public hearing. The Ordinance will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for Final Passage at a regular meeting on July 21, 2021 at 5:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Valencia County Commission Chamber, 444 Luna Ave. Los Lunas, NM 87031.
