Competitively Sealed Bids for the construction of a 19,642 SF gym addition to the existing recreation center at Daniel Fernandez Park located at 1103 NM 314 in Los Lunas, NM. The work includes: site grubbing, over excavation and imported / blended soil fill, auger cast concrete piles, concrete grade beams, concrete slabs, concrete unit masonry bearing walls, steel joists, steel deck roof support, and an insulated TPO roof system. Exterior finish consists of exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS). Interior partitions consist of light gauge steel studs with gypsum wallboard along with concrete unit masonry walls. Finishes include: polished concrete, rubber athletic flooring, resilient accessories, polyaspartic concrete coating, carpet tile and walk off carpet, tiled walls, window blinds, pipe railing with infill panels, and painted walls. Fenestration consists of aluminum storefront windows and doors, hollow metal doors and frames, and skylights. Interior openings consist of hollow metal frames with wood and hollow metal doors. Specialties include: athletic equipment including retractable basketball goals, volleyball sleeves, standards and nets, athletic scoreboards, fire extinguisher cabinets and fire extinguishers, toilet partitions and accessories, interior signage, and dimensional signage. HVAC system consists of gas fired roof top units providing heating and cooling. Plumbing fixtures consist of toilet room fixtures, hot water heating and tempering, and trench drainage. Electrical includes LED lighting, emergency lighting, convenience receptacles, power to HVAC equipment, and low voltage data. Fire suppression sprinkler installation throughout the addition, fed from the existing fire riser. Fire alarm expansion from the existing fire alarm panel. Site work includes construction of a fire access road and support concrete pad, concrete sidewalks, retaining wall, site lighting, site furnishings, and minor landscaping. Utilities include: installation of new electrical service, installation of new sewer line, and installation of a new natural gas line.

Will be received by Jason Duran, Community Services Director at 600 Main Street, Los Lunas, New Mexico 87031 (local time) on Thursday, March 17, 2022 until 2:00 p.m. at which time Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in the place (and address). Bids received after this date and time will be returned unopened. All interested parties are invited to attend.

Pre-Bid Conference: A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. (local time) on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Daniel Fernandez Youth Center, 1103 NM 314, Los Lunas, New Mexico 87031. A tour of the project site will follow after the meeting.
