LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a meeting of the Valencia County Board of Commissioners on March 2, 2022 at 5:00 PM a public hearing will be held for the purpose considering ORDINANCE 2022-___ AMENDING THE VALENCIA COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL CODE. The purpose of this Ordinance is to amend the Valencia County Animal Control Code to require fencing; limit tethering; require adequate shelter; prevent nuisance, further define vicious animals; require microchipping; make continuous barking unlawful and require sterilization for animals impounded three times or more.
The Board of County Commissioners may vote to adopt the Ordinance at the regular meeting following the public hearing on March 2, 2022 at 5:00 PM. The public hearing and meeting will be held at the Valencia County Commission Chamber, 444 Luna Ave. Los Lunas, NM 87031.
Complete copies of the of proposed Ordinance are available for public inspection at the Office of the Valencia County Clerk at 444 Luna Ave, Los Lunas New Mexico and may be viewed online at www.co.valencia.nm.us .
