ATTENTION VALENCIA COUNTY VOTERS

ELECTION BOARDS ARE TO BE APPOINTED BY THE COUNTY CLERK,

INCLUDING THE STANDBY LIST, FOR VALENCIA COUNTY’S 14 ELECTION DAY VOTING CONVENIENCE CENTERS, 3 EARLY VOTING SITES AND 1 ABSENTEE SITE.

EACH ELECTION BOARD WILL CONSIST OF 5 TO 6 MEMBERS.

APPLICATIONS TO BECOME AN ELECTION OFFICIAL ARE AVAILABLE AT THE COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE AT 444 LUNA AVE., LOS LUNAS, NM 87031

To be an Election Worker, you must:

Be registered to vote in

Valencia County

Be able to read and write

Be able to carry out a poll official’s duties with acceptable skill

Report to your assigned location at 6:00 AM and remain until you are excused by the Presiding Judge

Attend Mandatory Election School

Take an Oath of Office

Not be a candidate, law officer or close relative (spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, sibling or

in-law) of a candidate

Note: County residents who are 16 or 17 years old, US citizens and meet all but the first condition above may serve as poll officials.
