HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the public and all parties of interest that the Belen Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Meeting to consider a REQUEST FOR A SPECIAL USE OVERLAY PERMIT ON AN EXISTING R-1 ZONE to allow an existing non-conforming guest home in the rear of the lot to remain in-place and to be replaced (if destroyed or severely damaged) or remodeled (as may be needed) over time. The Special Use Overlay Permit will be applicable only for the guest house and the existing R-1 Zoning for the remaining property will remain in-place and in effect.

You are further notified that this public hearing is scheduled to be held on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 6:00 PM, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 100 South Main Street, Belen, NM 87002. Any person having objections or wishing to be heard should make such protests to the Belen Planning and Zoning Commission at the above stated date and time. Comments should be mailed to the City of Belen Planning and Zoning Department at 100 South Main Street, Belen, NM 87002. Please note that your physical presence is advised.

The Belen Planning and Zoning Commission will consider moving the case forward to the City Council with a recommendation for approval or disapproval.
