Politicians spout off about climate change

The Democrat Speaker of the New Mexico House of Representatives Brian Egolf is on his legislative pulpit again via his op-ed in the Oct. 14 Albuquerque Journal “NM’s Climate Summit.”

That was the worst load of scaremongering I’ve ever heard.  There’s been a virus spreading around our state and country for going on two years now, but the worst one is the “brain-eating green virus” that’s been attacking our Legislature and governor.

It’s more than amazing that politicians think they can actually change the climate. The last I knew, only God had that kind of power. Egolf comes off as sounding like the screeching, wild-eyed 18-year-old Greta Thunberg, the Swedish climate “expert” who began her “climate career” at age 15.

It’s been declared more than once by Obama and Biden that climate change is “the greatest threat facing mankind,” but polls have shown that climate change is the least of the worries of the American people.

The American people have seen through the rhetoric and exaggeration and are far more concerned about their freedom and their livelihoods. Far more important concerns are the high inflation caused by this administration with no end in sight, the high gas prices at the pump caused by Biden’s crackdown on oil and gas, empty shelves at the grocery store, the supply-chain bottleneck off the coast of California, good paying jobs, the hiring of 80,000 IRS agents to monitor your private bank accounts, the threat of the Marxist Critical Race Theory in our schools, the masses of illegal aliens coming into our country unvetted and unvaccinated, bringing home our Americans still in Afghanistan, getting rid of the COVID lockdowns so businesses can flourish, the threat of power blackouts when we need electricity the most, just to name a few.

Brian Egolf, Michelle Lujan Grisham, Joe Biden, Barrack Obama and all the rest of the leftist radicals, have a lot of nerve telling us that climate change is the most important thing we should worry about.

Egolf spouts, “New Mexico is moving in the right direction, but we need to do much more, and fast,” “we must act now.” The underlying cause of this alarmism is that politicians,  environmentalists, and industry leaders want you to pony up for the massive subsidies and mandates for solar and wind companies — massive transfers of wealth from the general public to a small politically connected cabal of climate profiteers who have invested heavily in renewables and the Green New Deal.

It should be pointed out that most of the people pressing for these climate change policies are well-off financially and can afford to pay the high prices caused by their ideological policies.

Case in point: Al Gore who has made millions through advocating for green energy and global warming. John Kerry, Barrack Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Brian Egolf, Michelle Lujan-Grisham — none of them care that you have to pay exorbitant amounts for your electricity bill, your bill at the gas pumps, high grocery store prices, etc. They are not affected at all by any of this. Just you.

So how about Egolf and Lujan Grisham hold a summit to try to solve some of the really important things as listed above? Nobody but God is going to change the climate, least of all them.
