LOS LUNAS — On May 4, the New Mexico Department of Health announced that Valencia County has moved into the Green Level (medium risk) on their color-coded framework that tracks Covid-19 cases.

With this new level determination, the Los Lunas Public Library opened to the public on Monday, May 10.

Patrons are required to wear a mask and capacity restrictions require the library to limit patrons to 15 minutes inside the library to browse and select items for checkout.

Temporary library hours are as follows:

• Monday: 12-4:30 p.m.

• Tuesday: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Wednesday: 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Thursday: 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Friday: 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Saturday: 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The curbside service will still be available for those who are more comfortable with limited contact service. Library staff encourages everyone to continue taking advantage of its e-book, e-magazine, mobile print and other online services.

Social distancing requirements place limitations on some services the library traditionally provides. All services will return as limitations are lifted.

For more information on additional programming and events, call 505-839-3850 or like their Facebook page m.facebook.com/loslunaslibrary/
