Eric and Rhonda Meadors, of Belen, celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on Aug. 16. The couple were united in marriage in 1986 at Peralta United Methodist Church.

Eric is a PPA manager at PNM. He graduated from Los Lunas High School, CNM, South Plains College and San Juan College.

He enjoys archery and hunting.

Rhonda is the owner of Red Rover Mobile Notary Services, LLC. She is a graduate of Los Lunas High School, USAF-School of Healthcare Sciences in Whichita Falls, Texas.

She enjoys genealogy, home remodeling and kayaking.

The Meadors met in high school. Rhonda then joined the U.S. Air Force and they married a year later. After nine years, they moved to Oregon, where Eric was employed with Intel.

Eventually, they moved back to New Mexico in 2007.

Eric was employed by PNM, and received his degree as instrument control electrician. Rhonda retired as a dental assistant in 2019, and is now self-employed.

The couples children include son, Christopher and wife, Tyra, and their children, Weston and Tinley, of Las Cruces; and daughter, Megan Meadors and fiancé, Dustin Goodson, and their children, Kyle, Taylor and Cooper, of Belen.

The couple will celebrate their anniversary with a kayaking trip to Moab, Utah.
