Miss Bosque Farms will be crowned for the first time this summer.

The contest is open to all girls, ages 14 to 17, who live in Bosque Farms.

Those wishing to compete will fill out an application for that includes a 50-word essay on “Why Do I Want to Be Miss Bosque Farms?”

The Bosque Farms Community Fair Board will pick the top six finalists.

The finalists will compete by collecting change in jars furnished by the fair board.

Miss Bosque Farms and her two runners-up will represent the village in the upcoming year at the Bosque Farms Community Fair and other village functions.

Applications are located at the village office, library and community center. Deadline to turn the application in is Saturday, May 25.

The six finalists will be announced on June 1. Money will be collected from June 1 to July 15 and will be presented to the village during the July 19 council meeting.

The contest is replacing the Bosque Farms Fair Queen, Princess and Sweet heart contets.
