Neddie Baca

Neddie Baca, age 81, a resident of Belen, passed away on Aug. 10, 2022.

A public viewing was held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, Aug. 15, followed by a Rosary. A final visitation and Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment followed at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcelino and Louisa Baca; brothers, Telesfor, Marcelino, Don, Roosevelt and Benny Baca; and stepsisters, Sara Gonzales and Gina Padilla.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Margaret Baca; sons, Philip (Debbie), Patrick (Michelle), Edward (Lisa) and Mark Baca (Natasha); daughters, Angela Padilla (John) and Rebecca Aguilera (Bobby); brothers, Nestor (Nellie), Manuel and Marcelino Baca; sisters, Lily Garcia, Lita Longacre and Lina Roybal (Donald); 21 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren (and more on the way).

Being surrounded by his grandchildren was Neddie’s joy. He was always the first to lend a helping hand without complaint and his heart remained full of gratitude and humility through times of suffering.

Filled with self-sacrifice, generosity and hard work, Neddie’s life was a powerful testament to the love of God.
