The Rev. James Anderson officiated at the ceremony, while Diego Salazar was the musical soloist.

The bride was given in marriage by Rick and Shirley Nesbitt and wore a sleeveless satin gown with an organza overlay with pearl beadwork. The veil was made of hand-tied white roses.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with white tie and vest.

The bride’s grandmother, Ruth Cordova of Belen, was matron of honor, and Leroy Roberts of Belen, the groom’s cousin, was best man.

Bridesmaids were Julie Montoya of Tomé; Veronica Roberts, the groom’s cousin, of Belen; and Cohni Acevedo, the groom’s sister, of Albuquerque.

The women of the wedding party wore navy blue satin floor-length gowns and carried bouquets of pink, purple and blue roses, daisies and baby’s breath.

The groomsmen were Jeremy Nesbitt, the bride’s brother, of Las Vegas, Nev.; Fernando Najera of Albuquerque; and Josh Cavenaugh, the groom’s brother-in-law, of Albuquerque.

The men of the wedding party worke black tuxedos with navy blue ties and vests.

Monica Morfin, the groom’s cousin of Belen, was flower girl.

The bride attended the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus and works for Voicestream Wireless. The groom attended the Technical-Vocational Institute and is employed by Checker Auto Parts.

The wedding was held in an outdoor courtyard decorated with flowers, lanterns and candles.

A reception was held at the Old Convent Gallery with music by DJ Rick Jaramillo.

The couple met when both were employed at Wal-Mart in 1999.

After a wedding trip to the Bahamas and Orlando, Fla., the couple will make their home in Belen.
