Norma Baldwin

Norma Baldwin, of Los Lunas, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the Kaghan House in Rio Communities.

Norma Ann Marie Baldwin was born Dec. 12, 1936, to Ness and Glydis Tholund on their farm southwest of Herman, Minn. Her siblings rushed home from their country school to name their baby sister with two middle names.

Norma attended the country school until the family moved to their farm northeast of Herman in April 1945. Norma graduated from Herman High School in 1954. She had various jobs in Minneapolis, Minn., and excelled in accounting and as a legal secretary.

Norma married James Baldwin Jan. 18, 1964. Married 58 years, they made their home in Minneapolis and St. Louis Park, Minn.

Their sons are Sean and Erik. They would take their sons camping and fishing at Atkin Lake, Minn. They did a lot of traveling with the camper and enjoyed being in the national parks.

Norma and James moved to Los Lunas in 1994 after James retired from being a Minneapolis fireman. They had a house built for them outside of Los Lunas. They loved being in Los Lunas and enjoyed all their friends.

Norma is sadly missed by her husband, James; sons, Sean and Erik; sister, Donna; sister-in-law, Mary; brother-in-law, Michael; and dear friend, Sally Durkee. She will also be sadly missed by many loving nieces, nephews and many other loving friends from the Los Lunas congregation.

She is preceded by her parents, Ness and Glydis; siblings, Floyd, Arnold and Jane; sisters-in-law, Vern, Barbara, Violetta and Dorothy; brothers-in-law, Gene, Ethel, Warren and Raymond.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 30, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 427 Los Lentes Road NE, Los Lunas.
