Patricio Lucero

Patricio Lucero, also known as Patrick Logan Lucero, age 73, a resident of Aragon, N.M., passed away peacefully on Oct. 2, 2021.

He was a member of Santo Niño Catholic Church. Patricio was a hardworking and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. Out of high school, he was drafted into the military, where he proudly served in the Navy in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged.

Patricio’s career to follow was timber sales and forestry, where he successfully retired after 30 years of service. He ran his own ranch and taught his family many valuable lessons, including how to be smarter than the average bear. Patricio was loved and respected by many because of his great character, humor and heart of gold.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Maximiliano and Priscilla Lucero; sister, Placy Jaime; and brother, Pablo Lucero.

Patricio is survived by his loving wife, Tomasita G. Lucero; children, Maximiliano, Monica, Rebecca, Antonio, Priscilla and Andrea; grandchildren, Ysias, Elijah, Arscenia, Jadan, Orlando, Alexandra, Donovan, Iliana, Gavin, Leandra, Timiyah, Timothy, Lyla, Adrianna, Alexis and Aaliyah; and siblings, Jimmy Lucero, Pete Lucero and Christine Lam.

A Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 16, at Santo Niño Catholic Church, with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow at Aragon Cemetery. Urn bearers will be Maximiliano and Antonio Lucero.

Rita Sisneros

1925-2021

Rita Sisneros

Rita Sisneros, 96, of Belen, passed away on Oct. 4, 2021, at the Odelia Health Facility in Albuquerque.

Rita was a proud Belen resident and a member of the Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church.

Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Sisneros; son, Pete Sisneros; and grandsons, Pete and Christopher Sisneros.

She is survived by her two sons, Richard Sisneros (Carol) and Larry Sisneros (Lynn); four grandchildren, Rick Sisneros, Denise Sisneros, Sandra Zimmerman (Jason) and April Lerma (Javier); 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; her three sisters, Terry Lovato (Avenlino), of Mountainair, Mary Padilla, of Belen, Josie Buendabenta, of Bernalillo; and her brother, Robert Tenorio. Rita also leaves behind her 32-year-old feathered friend, Peewee, who is now in the loving care of Richard and his family.

Rita will dearly missed and was deeply loved.
