YAFL football and cheerleading

Fall registration is now open for YAFL football and cheerleading. The cost is $175 per player for tackle football, $85 per player for flag football and $105 per cheerleader.

The fall season for cheerleading begins Monday, July 18, and is $150 per cheerleader. Junior cheer (ages 5-6) is $105 per cheerleader. Fall season for football begins on Monday, July 25. For information, visit NMYAFL.org.

Belen Pop Warner football and cheer

Registration is now open for the fall season of Belen Pop Warner football and cheerleading. Football is $150 for returning players and $165 for new players. Payment plans are offered.

Los Lunas Pop Warner football and cheer

Registration for the fall season of Pop Warner football and cheerleading is now open. Football is for ages 5-12 and is $150 for returning football players, and $175 for new football players.

Sideline cheerleading and competition cheer is for ages 3-15. Sideline cheer is $250, while the full year of competitive cheer is $350.

Football uniform will be provided for each player. Players are responsible for their own equipment (helmet, shoulder pads and mouthpiece).

Women’s golf 2022 season

The Women’s Golf Association at Tierra del Sol plays on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Ladies who are interested in joining are asked to contact Edie Redfearn Moore at 505-864-7015 or Kathy Burrow at 505-270-7048.

Baca Rodeo Series

The Baca Rodeo Series is scheduled to begin on Saturday, April 9, at the Valencia County Sheriff’s Posse. Events will be held each Saturday and Sunday until Sunday, May 1.

Golf tournament

The Belen St. Mary’s Booster Club will be hosting a golf tournament on Saturday, April 30, at Tierra Del Sol Golf Club in Rio Communities.

The club is currently looking for players and sponsors for the event. The cost is $100 per player or $400 per team of four players. There will be prizes handed out, lunch will be provided and much more.

Senior Olympics

The Valencia County Senior Olympics presents “Reach for the Stars” dance event at Jubilee in Los Lunas from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, May 7. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided.

Believe in Heroes Memorial Run

The 10th annual Believe in Heroes Memorial Run will be held Saturday, June 4, beginning at the Starlight movie theater in Los Lunas.

The fundraiser benefits Valencia County veterans. There will be a 5k run/walk, a 10k run, a 5k rucksack and a kids k. Register online at LosLunasVet.com, or call 505-480-2639 for more information. The event is presented by L.I.V.E., Inc. (Los Lunas Invested in Veterans Events).

Summer recreation

Registration for the Los Lunas summer recreation program is open. Summer programs run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Thursday, June 6-30 and July 11-28. Weekly registration fee is $30. Visit loslunasnm.gov/264/Summer-Recreation for more information and to sign up.

Registration for the Belen summer recreation program is open. There will be two sessions this summer, June 13-July 1 and July 11-29. The cost is $150 per session.
