Memorial services for Peggy Lee Gillean will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 6, at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, Okla., with Brett Gillean officiating.

Peggy passed away, Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in Rowlett, Texas, at the age of 85.

Peggy Lee Gillean was born Aug. 4, 1936, to Howard and Leona Grace Groover Palms, in Greenville, Penn. She married Jack Gillean, and they worked side by side in their business of breeding and training both racehorses and greyhounds.

In her earlier years, she worked as a Sears store manager and a loan officer at a bank. Peggy was a homemaker and loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Jack Gillean; and grandson, Rodney Gillean.

Peggy is survived by eight children, Sabrina Struble, Leona (June) Doan, Brett Beamer, Mark Blackstad and wife, Cathy, Jack Gillean, Lana Gillean, Scott Gillean and wife, Roxanne, and Cheri Stacy and husband Randy; brother, Blaine Meyers, a WWII veteran, and wife, Jeanette; grandkids, Jennifer Mynett and husband, Nathan, Michael Struble and wife, Danielle, Stacy Lindsey and husband, Phillip, Nick Beamer, Cody Beamer and wife, Hannah, Dalton Beamer, Tabitha Hays, Alexander Blackstad, Megan Carlson, Rand Carlson, Lyle Gillean, Brett Gillean, Maliki Gillean, Ashlee, Jaime Vigus and husband, Kori, Chance Danner and wife, Amber, Brittney Brost and husband, JJ, Nike Danner and wife, Cassie, Kambrye Gillean, Ricky Stacy, Bradley Stacy and Kelli Stacy; and 26 great-grandkids.
