Philip “Bull” Garcia

Philip “Bull” Garcia, age 55, a resident of Los Lunas, peacefully joined our Lord and Savior surrounded by his loving family on Jan. 8, 2023, after having battled various ailments.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 20, at the Tomé Catholic Cemetery.

He was born in 1967 to Celestino and Ann Hernandez Garcia in Orange County, Calif. Bull graduated from Los Lunas High School in 1986, was a volunteer firefighter, YAFL assistant football coach under head coach Dominic Otero, and worked for Los Lunas Schools for 19 years.

He was a very special person. Bull’s love for life was contagious. He never met a stranger, and was a die-hard WWE and Raider’s fan.

Philip is survived by his parents; loving brothers, Gregory (Jennie) and Andy Garcia; nieces and nephews, Cypress, Emily, AJ and Patrick; great-nieces, Ophelia, Odette and Olivia; maternal uncles, Jess (Jeannie), Jimmy (Rosie) and David Hernandez (Arlene); many cousins, and special cousin, Arlene.

The family would like to thank Gina Aragon for her longtime friendship and mentorship with Philip.

He has made many friends within the community of Valencia County, and will be dearly missed by all.
