PNM made donations totaling $150,000 to food banks across the state for New Mexican families in need.

Food pantries that received this funding include Albuquerque, Belen, Farmington, Rio Rancho, Ruidoso, Santa Fe, Silver City, and tribal communities statewide including the 19 Pueblos, the Navajo Nation, Jicarilla Apache Nation and the Mescalero Apache Tribe.

The Belen Area Food Pantry received $5,000. The generous donation was made by PNM shareholders, no customer funds were used for this effort.

“Food banks provide a valuable and lifesaving service to many New Mexicans who are living in food-insecure households,” said Don Tarry, PNM Resources president and chief operating officer.

“PNM saw the need to step up and help people in our state who need it most and we encourage other businesses and individuals, who are able, to do the same.”
