Rebecca Espinoza (Rodriguez)
Rebecca Espinoza (Rodriguez), aged 80, resident of Belen, passed away peacefully at home on June 1, 2023.
Rebecca, also affectionately known as Becky and Grandma Becky, was born on Nov. 27, 1942. Becky grew up in Los Angeles, Calif., and was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Anita Rodriguez, also from Los Angeles; great grandson Eli Brandon Lopez of Belen, and five siblings, Rachel, Charlie, Robert, Manuel and Ernestine, all California residents.
Becky is survived by her husband Louis R. Espinoza, and six children, Linda (Wes), Rudy (Rhona), Jesse (Dolores), Gilbert (Margaret), Felix (Amanda), Victor (Michael), 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Becky is also survived by her brother, Frankie and sister, Gracie.
When Becky wasn’t tirelessly enriching the lives of her family and friends, she enjoyed fulfilling her catering duties for Rutilio’s New Mexican Foods in Belen. Her heart of service was known by many and she will be missed deeply, both within her family and her community.
All funeral arrangements are being handled by Noblin Funeral Service in Belen. Becky will be buried at the Our Lady of Belen Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the Espinoza family is requesting donations be made to Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico.
“We will miss you mom/grandma. Too-da-loo!”
