Regina Sedillos and Danny Montoya were united in marriage on Feb. 2 at the Alumni Memorial Church in Albuquerque.

The bride is the daughter of Jesus A. and Joyce E. Sedillos of Belen and the groom is the son of Danny and Ann Montoya of Tomé.

The Rev. Daniel Muller officiated at the ceremony, and music was by the groom’s cousin, Steven Montoya.

The bride wore a white, bustled dress set with pink beads with a matching tiara fit with a long veil. She carried a teardrop bouquet of white and pink roses.

The groom wore a traditional black tuxedo.

Maid of honor was Rosalia Ulibarri and bridesmaids were the bride’s sister, Carolina Gurule; the groom’s sisters, Michelle Montoya and Julie Montoya; and the bride’s cousin, Elisa Gonzales, all of Belen. They wore gowns of iridescent purple and pink and carried bouquets of pink roses set with small purple flowers.

Best man was Robert Rossberg of Belen and groomsmen were the bride’s brother, Jesus Sedillos of Belen; her brother-in-law, Naithan Gurule of Los Lunas; Richard Walker, Chad Salazar, and the groom’s brother, Michael Montoya, all of Belen.

The men of the wedding party wore black tuxedos with purple vests and ties.

Flower girls were McKenzie Walker and Emma Ray Walker, both of Belen. Ring bearers were Danny Montoya Jr., the groom’s son, and Isaiah Sedillos, the bride’s son.

A reception was held at the Temple Lodge in Albuquerque.

The bride is a junior majoring in civil engineering at the University of New Mexico. She is employed by Wilson and Company as an engineering tech. She is a 1997 graduate of Belen High School.

The groom is a junior majoring in construction management at UNM. He is also a graduate of Belen High School.

The couple met through the bride’s cousin, the groom’s best friend. They also were taking college courses together.

After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, they will make their home in Los Lunas.
