Although Tomé Art Gallery won’t be holding a live Soup R Bowl event at The University of New Mexico-Valencia campus again this February due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they have come up with an exciting alternative.
The artists at the gallery have made gift bags of dried soup ingredients and are for sale for $5 each. They make great stocking stuffers, or combined with a handmade bowl, are a great gift idea.
They have five different soups, including Lobo Soups, Friendship Soup, Grannie’s Grains, Navy Bean and Red Lentils, Seriously Simple Veggie Soup and Vegetable Noodle. They are all packaged in a festive organza bag and tied with a red paw print ribbon.
The soups are currently on sale at the Tomé Art Gallery, The UNM-Valencia campus bookstore, Steven’s Leftover’s and Rio Grande Financial Network.
As always, all proceeds go to the UNM Endowment Fund and are matched dollar for dollar by the U.S. Department of Education. Tomé Art Gallery is awarding four $1,000 scholarships to art students at UNM-Valencia.
