Valencia County was well represented in the annual Red vs. Green All-Star football game at the Bulldog Bowl in Artesia on Saturday.
Los Lunas’ Paul Cieremans, Niko Torres and Kaden Bell, and Belen Eagle Elijah Romero took part in the big school game.
Bell and Romero played for the Red team, while Cieremans and Torres played for the Green team.
The contest, sponsored by the New Mexico High School Coaches Association, was won by the Red team, 31-25, in overtime.
James Augustine, a senior from Isleta Pueblo who attends Menaul School, played for the Green Team in the small school Red vs. Green All-Star game.

The Los Lunas High School Tigers football team is the 2021 5A State Champions after defeating the Artesia Bulldogs by a final score of 40-28 this past Saturday in Los Lunas.
“Couldn’t be anymore proud of them,” Los Lunas head coach Greg Henington said after the game. “It feels amazing.”
