A wider shopping selection awaits customers at the Valencia Plaza with the relocation of The Branch Christian Books, Gifts and Espresso and Vaughn’s Earthly Creations.

The two stores moved from Adobe Plaza to the Valencia Plaza in July to attract more customers.

They join Staple’s, Big Five Sporting Goods, Fashion Bug, Albertson’s and Hasting’s.

Lori Wood of The Branch, Christian Books, Gifts and Espresso wood like to thank all in the community who helped her with the big move.

“We were happy at Adobe Plaza, but this is a better location,” she said.

“Thanks to everyone who helped, we were able to move in four days instead of 10. It wasn’t just from our Christian family. Thank you to all the volunteers who lifted a finger for every box and every book. The cabinets, plumbing, electric work was all done by community volunteers.”

Prices haven’t changed and an expanded gift line awaits customers inside the new store, including a wide selection of music and guitars. Look for Christian literature, Bibles, jewelry, inspirational gifts and Thomas Kincaid Calendars for 2003.

When customers have the desire to taste something sweet, hot or cold, the coffee bar inside The Branch is the perfect place to go. The store now serves pastry, cakes and pies, along with cheesecake from Dee’s Cheesecake Factory.

An outdoor look has been added to The Branch — outside seating for sipping drinks under an umbrella is available.

The store plans to hold an all-day grand re-opening on Satur-day, Aug. 17, with bands on the sidewalk, a guest author, drawings and give-aways.

“Business has already quadrupled. The business from other stores in the plaza helps us with new customers. They have more to choose from all in one place. Competition is always good.”

The Branch is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Vaughn Hendren, owner of Vaughn’s, says the new location provides a larger showroom for his wide array of diamonds and jewelry.

“Customers can get to me easier,” he said. “It’s great to be in a location that’s full of big business. This is exciting for everyone.”

Vaughn’s has expanded its jewelry line to include Seiko clock gift sets, as well as pearl and colored-stone jewelry.

“We have the largest diamond selection in the valley. We have a beautiful diamond-in-a-pearl necklace and earrings,” Vaughn added. “Our wedding-and-engagement line has also been expanded.”

Longer hours are now a symbol of Vaughn’s new address. They’re open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
