Because of pandemic restrictions, the Ladies Golf Association ended their year the way it began, with limited play and cancellations for the month of November. The meeting day scramble was played on Nov. 4, with the team of Cindy Hill, Joanne Romero and Nancy Ketternacker winning first place, followed by the team of Anna Martinez, Fran Griffeth and Marla Wersonick. Janice Prescott scored the only chip-in of the month and there were no birdies.

Typically, the ladies end the year with a Christmas luncheon in December, but this was also canceled. The luncheon features the presentation of awards for the winners of the ringer board, which is an ongoing competition throughout the year, and naming the most improved golfer. Placing first in flight one for the ringer board was Regina Trujillo, who was also named the most improved golfer. Flight two was won by Marilyn Winters and flight three was won by Jeannie Burleson. Next year’s officers are Cindy Hill, president, Fran Griffeth, vice president, Marilyn Winters, secretary and Kathy Burrow, treasurer.

The ladies hope to begin their 2021 season in March and ladies who would like to join the association should watch for future notices for contact information.
