LLHS senior Kaden Bell was named to the All-State first team as a kicker.

Six members of the Los Lunas High School football team were All-State selections in 6A as chosen by the New Mexico High School Coaches Association.

The Tigers, who moved up from 5A this season, placed defensive back Niko Torres and kicker Kaden Bell on the first team.

Center Jasiah Baca is a second team choice, while quarterback Paul Cieremans, offensive lineman KC Herrell and linebacker Miguel Andrade were honorable mentions.

James Augustine, of Pueblo of Isleta, who played center for Menaul School, was named to the 8-Man All-State first team.

Belen High School and Valencia High School were shutout from the All-State teams in 5A and 4A, respectively.

However, the All-Metro football teams feature athletes from all three Valencia County schools.

Seven players from Belen and three from Valencia were selected for the 1A-5A honor squad, while Los Lunas filled five positions in 6A.

LLHS senior Bell was chosen as 6A All-Metro first team place kicker as well as punter.

Other Tigers recognized are Baca on the first team, with Andrade and cornerback Marco Perez second team picks.

Belen running back Diego Avila was named first team All-Metro. BHS standouts on the second squad are defensive linemen Cutter Houston and Bobby Orona, linebackers Adam Aguilar and Elijah Romero, cornerback Jesse Vasquez and receiver Elijah Romero.

The Valencia Jaguars placed three players on the 1A-5A first team, including place kicker Liam Crews, linebacker Adriano Ortiz and safety Rey Garcia.

Augustine, of the Menaul Panthers, was a first team All-Metro pick.
