Karlene C. Padilla and Miguel Cordova exchanged wedding vows in a double-ring ceremony on Sept. 15 at Christ United Methodist Church in Albuquerque.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Loretta Padilla of Belen and the groom is the son of Mike and Roselyn Cordova of Veguita.

The Rev. Larry Castillo-Wilson officiated at the wedding while Andrea Justice, the groom’s sister, played the organ for the ceremony.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown with a satin, spaghetti-strapped bodice with beaded bands and an A-line skirt with a detachable train. She carried a floral arrangement of calla lilies.

The groom wore a black ducktail tuxedo with a white tie and vest.

Lisa Sanchez of Belen was the maid of honor and the groom’s twin brother, Armando Cordova of Veguita, was best man.

Bridesmaids were the bride’s cousins, Jamie Sanchez and Mary Esquivel, both of Belen; the bride’s sister-in-law, Rebecca Newport of Los Lunas; and the groom’s sister, Andrea Justice of Los Lunas. The maid of honor wore a silver satin gown and the bridesmaids were clad in black satin gowns.

Groomsmen were Chris Trujillo of Belen; the bride’s brother, Steven Padilla of Los Lunas; the groom’s brother-in-law, Joe Justice of Los Lunas; and the groom’s father, Mike Cordova of Veguita.

The men of the wedding party wore black tuxedos with silver ties and vests.

Makayla Cordova of Belen, the bride’s cousin, was the flower girl while Mateo Justice of Los Lunas, the groom’s nephew, was the ring bearer.

A reception was held in the Hyatt Regency Downtown in Albuquerque.

The bride is a graduate of Belen High School who earned an associate’s degree from The Art Center in advertising art. The groom is also a Belen High graduate and he is self-employed. The couple met in school.

After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nev., the couple will make their home in Belen.
