The Women’s Golf Association played a full schedule of regular play days during the month of May.
The highlight of the month was the Eclectic Tournament played on Wednesday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 19.
This tournament involves recording the better score for each hole over the two days with winners determined from those marks.
In the 18-hole division, Beth Taylor was the first flight gross winner with Marilyn Jaramillo winning first net.
In the second flight, first gross winner was Regina Trujillo with Marilyn Winters winning first net.
In the nine-hole division, Fran Griffeth won the first gross tittle and Dorothy Lindberg won first net.
18-hole first gross winners for the play days through the month were Berta Meryzn, who won three, Edie Redfearn-Moore, who won two, as well as Taylor, Trujillo and Anna Martinez.
Nine-hole first gross winners Griffeth with three and Cindy Hill. First net winners in the 18-hole division were Jeannie Burleson, Kathy Burrow, who won two, Winters, Redfearn-Moore and Marilyn Jaramillo.
In the nine-hole division first net winners were Hill with two, Winters, Griffeth and Lindberg.
Chip-ins were pletniful throughout the month. Joanne Romero, Winters and Taylor all recorded two, with Robin Boyd, Martinez, Hill and Trujillo recording one each.
Birdies were scored by Lina Castillo, Trujillo and Murzyn.
Several members played in the Senior Ladies Tournament at Sierra del Rio, with Griffeth winning first gross and Winters winning first net in their flights.
In June there will be regular Wednesday and Saturday play days as well as the Ace Day competition and the Presidents Cup will be played on Wednesday, June 16.
The ladies will assist with the junior golf scramble on June 23.
