The Women’s Golf Association began its 2022 season on March 2 with its scramble/meeting day.
Taking first place in the scramble was the team of Edie Redfearn-Moore, Tammie Fuller, Dorothy Lindberg and Jane Dolan.
Unfortunately, the unpredictable weather during the month of March often interferes with the regular Wednesday and Saturday play days, and this year was no exception. Several play days were canceled, but Marilyn Jaramillo, Anna Martinez, Josanne Cossio and Jeannie Burleson posted First Gross wins, with Beth Taylor and Berta Murzyn each posting two.
First Net winners throughout the month were Regina Trujillo, with Fran Griffeth, Kathy Burrow, and Jaramillo winning two each.
Scoring prized birdies were Kathy Buckley, Marilyn Winters, Jaramillo and Martinez. Chip-ins were made by Robin Holbrook, Burrow, Griffeth and Burleson.
The Partner’s Best Ball Tournament will have been played on April 13, with regular play days on the other Wednesdays and Saturdays. Coverage of the Partner’s Best Ball Tournament will be in next month’s report.
