Antique Toy, Bear and Doll Show at BHHM
Free antique and collectible appraisals will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Belen Harvey House Museum, 104 N. First St., Belen. Bring your collectibles for free appraisals from Fred and Connie Johnson, former owners of Legacy Antiques.
The event will have toy and doll vendors, including Jimmy Gallegos, president of Toys International and owner of antique shop Past, Present & In-Between, who will do appraisals and have an exhibit on die-cast and matchbox cars.
At 11 a.m., Dixie Boyle will present “The History of the Barbie Doll.” She will also have vintage 1960’s Barbie dolls and outfits for sale.
At noon, Anita Husby will present “The History of Bisque Dolls,” and for a small fee, will offer doll restringing.
At 1 p.m., Ovana Slocumb will present “Composition Dolls”; at 2 p.m., Mary Mathews will present “Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls”; at 3 p.m., Karen White will present “Tin Head Dolls”; and at 4 p.m., Meredith Edwards will present “Collecting Steiff, Schuco, MerryThought and Farnell Monkeys.”
