Annual food drive

The Retired Senior Volunteer Program is taking donations of non-perishable food for its annual distributions of food baskets for needy family for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Take donations to the office at 719 S. Main St., Belen. For information, call Bertha Flores at 966-2567, or Cindy Lu Hurbina at 966-2566.

 

Thanksgiving basket applications

Through Nov. 19, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program will be taking applications to help those in need with a Thanksgiving food basket. This is limited to the number of baskets available. Those who qualify must live in the Belen school district.

When applying, you must show proof of income, residence, ID and birth certificate or Medicaid card for each child in the household. Applications are available at the RSVP office, 719 S. Main St., Belen. For information, call Bertha Flores at 966-2567, or Cindy Lu Hurbina at 966-2566.

 

Chamber after-hours

The Greater Belen Chamber of Commerce will hold an after-hours event at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Edward Jones Financial, 3459C N.M. 47 in Los Lunas. For information, call Rhona at 505-463-5558.
